About Botox
What are Botox injections?
Botox is a brand name of botulinum toxin, a neurotoxin that is injected into muscles to temporarily reduce or restrict their movement. We carry several brands of botulinum toxin, including BOTOX®, DAXXIFY, and Dysport®.
How often do I need Botox?
Most of our clients find that scheduling a Botox appointment every 3 months allows them to get the most consistent and effective results long-term. Correctly-dosed neurotoxin generally lasts for 3-4 months at a time, but that time frame can vary based on placement, amount injected, and your unique metabolic rate.
When should I start Botox?
There is no hard-and-fast rule. Botox is most effective as a preventative tool, before wrinkles and fine lines have the chance to develop. We recommend most patients begin by the age of 30, though many begin as early as 25. Every person is different, so we will build a plan that makes sense for you.
Does Botox hurt?
Botox injections are usually not painful. Some patients describe a slight pinching or stinging sensation, but it is over quickly. Most patients experience little to no discomfort.
Can Botox make me look younger?
Botox can help you look younger by reducing and softening common signs of aging, including wrinkles, fine lines, jowls, and sagging skin.
